Yoga with Diana
Diana first became introduced to yoga at the age of 21 after she threw her back out carrying an overloaded backpack on one shoulder across her college campus. She began a daily home practice to strengthen both sides of her back evenly and stretch out tight muscles.
Four years later, Diana began to study yoga philosophy in-depth and began a daily pranayama and meditation practice. Two years later, as she developed into a locally renowned professional dancer and dance instructor, she began to incorporate yoga into her classes. After several mentally grueling years working on her Ph.D., she decided after she defended her dissertation to focus on teaching yoga and mind-body theory and practical application in order to foster holistic well-being in her clients/students and a balance of mind, body and spirit. Her holistic background provides a well-rounded understanding and practice of yoga, which is evident today. Influenced by several traditions, she offers yoga and meditation classes with a balance of gratitude and joy. Her classes are a masterful, artistic blend balancing the alignment of your body, mind and spirit. She is experienced in teaching both introductory and all-levels vinyasa classes, children’s yoga, chair yoga, as well as Ashtanga Primary and Second Series.
Diana currently is a registered yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance (E-RYT 500). She is also a certified Ayurvedic Yoga Specialist though the Himalayan Institute.
